With a solid background in the energy sector, Alexander Goyeneche takes the lead in direct sales across Europe, aiming to bring Isotrol’s cutting-edge technology for smart renewable asset management closer to customers. In this interview, he shares his insights on market trends, energy transition challenges, and the pivotal role of digitalization.

What led you to join Isotrol?

I was drawn to Isotrol’s unique ability to close the energy sales cycle by integrating technology and engineering to optimize renewable asset management. As the Direct Sales Director, my focus is on aligning this comprehensive SaaS-based offering with our clients’ needs, helping them maximize the value of their energy projects.

What will be the key trends in the European renewable energy market in 2025?

The sector will evolve with key trends shaping the business landscape:

-Digitalization and data as a competitive advantage: digitalization will remain the backbone of the industry. Customers will increasingly seek tech solutions that not only monitor assets but also create strategic value through predictive analytics, data integration, and automation. At Isotrol, we position our SaaS solutions as essential tools for enhancing asset performance and driving data-driven decision-making.

-Acceleration of the energy transition: European policies and rising demand for clean energy will continue driving market growth, particularly in wind, solar, and energy storage. However, this expansion will not be uniform—emerging markets in Eastern Europe will present significant opportunities. Our direct sales approach must highlight how our solutions help customers navigate this transition efficiently and profitably.

-Storage and flexibility as strategic opportunities: the expansion of energy storage will be crucial for grid stability and managing renewable energy intermittency. Additionally, energy flexibility will unlock new revenue streams, such as secondary markets and ancillary services. Isotrol’s ability to align its solutions with these evolving dynamics positions our technology as a strategic investment for customers.

What does Isotrol bring to the European renewable energy market?

At Isotrol, we put people at the heart of our solutions. Our B2P (Business to People) approach prioritizes not just technology but also a deep understanding of the needs and priorities of decision-makers.

Our key differentiators:

-Adaptive and versatile data technology: a SaaS solution that enables efficient asset management with unlimited, reliable data.

-Partners, not just providers: we are committed to our customers' success, working closely with them to solve specific challenges with a global vision.

-Tailored strategies: we adapt our solutions to the realities of each business and market, ensuring decision-makers achieve their strategic goals.

Ultimately, Isotrol doesn’t just offer a tool—we provide a strategic ally, accompanying our customers on their path to success in the European renewable energy market.
