CONTINUOUS INTRADIARY ELECTRICITY MARKET SIMULATOR

The Continuous Intraday market and the platform that supports it (XBID) is experiencing strong growth due to the increase of renewables in the electricity generation mix, as it is a market that allows adaptation to frequent changes in solar and wind resources. 

The main objective of the XSIM project is the development and validation of software tools to model, validate and generate optimal strategies for participation in the continuous intraday market (XBID). To this end, a price and matched energy predictor, a market simulator and a scenario generator based on the analysis of the time series of bids and offers will be developed.

The XSIM project provides a set of software tools, models and predictors based on Artificial Intelligence. Isotrol's technical team, in collaboration with the TEP-196 Research Group: Electric Energy Systems of the University of Seville, is developing this innovative project, which will enable the validation and definition of optimal participation strategies for the continuous intraday market (XBID).
