As part of our commitment to expanding and optimizing our solutions for the U.S. market, our team recently visited California ISO (CAISO) to gain deeper insights into the integration of new generation plants into its network. The visit focused on understanding the technical and regulatory requirements for Remote Intelligent Gateways (RIGs), essential for ensuring seamless grid connectivity and compliance with CAISO standards.

During our time at CAISO’s high-tech control center in Folsom, CA, we engaged with key stakeholders, including experts from the reliability coordination, stakeholder affairs, and network modeling teams. These discussions provided valuable guidance on data requirements, logistical considerations, and best practices for successfully deploying RIG solutions. Additionally, we reviewed official documentation and resources to streamline the approval process for future projects.
This visit represents a key milestone in our strategy to strengthen Bluence’s role in the North American energy market. By deepening our understanding of CAISO’s requirements, we are refining our solutions to enhance efficiency, reduce implementation delays, and support seamless participation in the energy trading landscape.
